Monaco Diplomat Rear Air Suspension Won't Dump Fully - Troubleshooting Guide

Last week my 2006 Monaco Diplomat's rear air bags started refusing to dump all the way down when I hit the air dump before leveling. The front dumps fine, but the back stays partially inflated.

I'm still pretty new to RV maintenance and not sure where to start troubleshooting this. Should I be hearing air escaping when I activate the dump? What are the most common causes when rear air bags won't dump completely? Any guidance on what to check would be really appreciated! …more

How to Find Reliable RV Repair Shops: Expert Tips & Red Flags to Watch Out For

About every summer my 2004 Adventurer runs like a dream until temps hit 85°F, then it breaks down constantly and no shop can figure out why. The main slide out has been acting up with the HWH hydraulic system, and I honestly don't know enough to fix it myself.

I'm worried about getting taken advantage of since I don't really know what questions to ask or what warning signs to watch out for. I've heard horror stories about people paying huge bills for shoddy work. What's the best way to research and find a reliable shop? Are there specific things I should ask them before I commit to having work done?

Any guidance would be really appreciated - I just want to make sure I'm being smart about this and not walking into a bad situation. …more

RV Electric Leveling Jacks Won't Extend - Fix Clicking Issue

Wondering if I should drop $800 on new electric leveling jacks or if this annoying clicking issue can actually be fixed first? The jacks were working perfectly fine on our last camping trip about two weeks ago, but now when I try to extend them, I can hear a distinct clicking sound coming from the controller panel, yet none of the jacks actually move or extend. The clicking happens consistently when I press the extend button, so it seems like the system is trying to respond, but something is preventing the actual mechanical operation.

I'm wondering what the most common causes are for this specific symptom - where you get the clicking from the controller but no actual jack movement. I'd like to understand the logical troubleshooting sequence, starting with the easiest things to check first before I dive into more complex diagnostics. The RV has been sitting plugged into shore power, but I know these systems can have multiple potential failure points including electrical, hydraulic, or control issues.

What should I be checking first, and what's the typical progression for diagnosing electric leveling jack problems that manifest with clicking sounds but no extension? …more

HWH 625S Slide Out Not Working: Step-by-Step Control Box Bypass & Repair Guide

Wondering why my 2008 Winnebago Adventurer 38J's HWH 625S slide out won't budge after replacing the solenoid, cleaning connections, and checking fluid levels? The passenger slide won't extend or retract from the wall switch, but when I manually operate the solenoid valves, the slide moves perfectly in both directions.

I've already replaced the solenoid valves, so I know they're good. The problem seems to be that power isn't reaching the solenoids from the switch - everything routes through the control box first.

Can I safely bypass the HWH control box by connecting the switch wires directly to the solenoid wires? What should I check before attempting this bypass? …more

How to Lift RV Slideout for Floor Repair - Safe Methods

Apparently my 2000 Allegro Bus slideout only starts sagging and needing floor repair when it hits 85 degrees outside — works perfectly fine otherwise. We discovered water damage under the slideout and need to replace some plywood subflooring, but there are screws I can only access if I lift the slide somehow.

I'm worried about damaging the slideout mechanism or worse, having it fall and hurt someone. The hydraulic system seems to work fine, but I've heard you shouldn't trust it alone for this kind of work. What's the safest method to lift and support a slideout while doing floor repairs underneath? I want to make sure I'm not making a dangerous mistake here. …more

HWH 325 Levelers Shutting Off When Extended? Quick Fix Guide

This might sound like a warranty question, but before I start tearing into my HWH 325 series levelers that shut off when extended — am I covered or paying again? They power up just fine - all lights, sounds normal, no drama. But the SECOND I press any of the extend buttons, they shut off completely like I just insulted their mother.

I'm trying to level out while changing my motorhome's oil (because apparently I can't even do basic maintenance without my house deciding to be crooked), and these levelers are having none of it. Battery shows good on the panel, but I'm wondering if there's some kind of voltage issue happening when they try to actually work? Or maybe loose connections somewhere? Anyone dealt with this particular brand of RV stubbornness before? …more

HWH RV Slide Hydraulic Hose Repair: Complete DIY Guide

HWH RV Slide Hydraulic Hose Repair: Complete DIY Guide

Replaced my HWH slide's hydraulic hose last month and now it's spraying fluid everywhere again with our three-week cross-country trip starting Friday! My 2007 Monaco Dynasty with HWH hydraulic system decided to throw me a curveball when the bedroom slide hydraulic line (1/4" I.D.) decided to spring a leak. After some detective work (and a lovely puddle of ATF to mark the spot), I traced it back to where a 1" air line to the front caliper had been playing the world's slowest game of 'saw through the hydraulic hose' for who knows how many miles.

I temporarily patched with Gorilla Tape and 1/2" hose clamps, which got the slide almost closed but still creeping. I'm planning to fix this with a compression coupling since that seems like the most straightforward approach for a DIY repair. Two quick questions: Can anyone confirm the 1/4" I.D. hose size for HWH systems? And once I get this coupling installed, will I need to bleed the system, or does it sort itself out? I'm hoping this repair goes smoother than my attempts to explain to my spouse why we're currently camping with a slide that's permanently 'almost' closed! …more

HWH Levelers Flashing Blue Light: Complete Battery Reset & Troubleshooting Guide

Opened three different browser tabs trying to figure out why my HWH levelers are flashing blue — neighbor says dead batteries, dealer claims sensor issue, YouTube insists wiring problem. The blue light keeps flashing and the jacks won't respond at all - they won't go up or down. The only thing that seems to work is disconnecting the house battery for about 15 minutes until all the panel lights go dark, then reconnecting it.

I'm worried this might be a sign of something serious going wrong with the electrical system or the levelers themselves. Could this indicate low voltage issues or bad connections that might be unsafe? I really don't want to damage anything expensive or put my family at risk. What should I be checking, and is this something I need to call HWH about immediately? …more

HWH Spacemaker Slide Motor Runs But Won't Extend: Complete RV Repair Guide

Every time we get heavy rain like those three days last week, my HWH Spacemaker hydraulic slide system motor runs but won't extend the slide out. The motor runs when I hit the extend button, but the slide absolutely will not move out. Everything else works perfectly - rear slide operates fine, leveling system works great, no blown fuses anywhere.

I've tested the extend solenoid and it's getting power, did an ohm test which showed 1.2 and open (which appears acceptable per the manual). I've already checked the converter box and solenoids and they look good. The safety locks are fully retracted so that shouldn't be the issue. I can hear the motor operating but there's zero movement on the slide itself.

I'm really hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. What are the most common causes when the motor runs but nothing happens? Should I be focusing on hydraulic leaks or is this still likely a solenoid problem even though it tested okay? …more

HWH Leveling Jacks Won't Retract: Motor and Solenoid Valve Troubleshooting Guide

Every time I walk over to my HWH leveling jacks they extend perfectly but won't retract, leaving me clueless whether it's the motor, solenoid valve, or something else. But when I try to retract them using Store mode, absolutely nothing happens. I can hear the motor trying to run, but the jacks just sit there extended.

I recently replaced the springs on these jacks and I'm wondering if I somehow messed up the hydraulic system in the process. The spring replacement was a pain and I had to disconnect some things to get to them. My main question is: should I be hearing the motor run when I press Store mode, just like when extending? And if the motor runs but jacks don't retract, what's the most likely culprit?

I'm really hoping this is something I can troubleshoot myself before having to call in expensive service. Any guidance on what to check first would be a lifesaver! …more

HWH Leveling System Control Panel Repair: DIY Fix Guide & Replacement

Finally, after all that rain last week, my 18-year-old RV's HWH leveling system control panel started acting up with these frustrating intermittent problems. The front and back jack controls are acting erratic - sometimes they work perfectly, other times they're completely unresponsive or behave unpredictably. The side leveling controls seem to function normally most of the time. This has become a real safety and convenience issue, especially when I need to retract the jacks to leave a campsite and can't rely on the controls working properly.

I decided to contact HWH directly through their support form. To my surprise, they called me back the same afternoon and offered to repair the panel. For just a little over $100 (mostly labor), they fixed the controller, replaced the Lexan cover, and made sure all micro switches were working properly before shipping it back. This was far more cost-effective than purchasing a new panel, which I'd seen priced between $400-800.

I wanted to share this positive experience, as I know many RV owners struggle with component repairs and customer support. In my case, HWH truly came through and provided an excellent solution to my leveling control panel issues. …more
RV Air System Leak: Front Tank Losing Pressure Solutions

RV Air System Leak: Front Tank Losing Pressure Solutions

Somewhere my neighbor's Class A maintains perfect air pressure in both tanks while my front tank keeps bleeding down overnight — what am I missing? My front air tank keeps losing pressure, but only when the coach is up on the air bags. When I jack up the rear and take weight off the bags, no pressure loss at all. Same thing when I dump the bags completely - holds pressure fine. The rear tank seems totally unaffected.

What's really puzzling me is after I shut down, I can hear this weird gurgling or burping sound coming from the front secondary tank until the system loses pressure. But here's the strange part - even though it's the front tank losing pressure, the rear of the coach sags way faster than the front after shutdown. I've meticulously sprayed soapy water at least 3 times on every fitting, valve, and connection I can reach around both the front tanks and rear bags, but I can't spot any visible leaks anywhere. Could really use some guidance on what I might be missing here.

Thanks,
Jon …more

2007 Dyna Max IE250 Air Ride Electrical Manual Location

According to my bank account, this 2007 Dyna Max IE250 air ride electrical manual hunt is eating through my repair budget faster than I can earn it. I've been dealing with some electrical issues and really need the wiring diagrams and troubleshooting procedures, but I can't seem to find this documentation anywhere online.

I've already tried the usual RV manual sites and even contacted a few local dealers, but nobody seems to have specific electrical documentation for the Dyna Air Ride system that was installed on these units. This is supposedly a premium suspension system, so you'd think the manuals would be easier to track down!

Does anyone know where I can actually get my hands on the electrical manual for this air ride system? I'm willing to pay for it at this point - I just need to get this thing working properly again. …more

HWH Leveling System Won't Start - Pump Troubleshooting Guide

HWH Leveling System Won't Start - Pump Troubleshooting Guide

Looked outside at 11 PM and discovered my HWH leveling system pump just died on me — need to figure this out before we leave in the morning. I've got a '96 Allegro Bus with what I think is called the HWH 610 leveling system. We were out camping last weekend and I started the leveling process, but someone suggested I move forward a bit for better slide clearance. So I turned off the leveling system, moved the coach forward maybe 10 feet, then tried to level again. That's when everything went wrong - now it just keeps bleeding air constantly and the pump motor won't even try to start. I've tried pressing the individual leg buttons but nothing happens except more air loss. Back home I've been doing some basic testing (please be patient with my limited knowledge). The solenoids all seem to click when I press buttons, and I've checked every fuse I can find. I suspected the pump relay since I wasn't getting any output, so I replaced it, but same problem. I'm getting confused about the wiring - should the small terminals on the pump relay get voltage or ground signal? Right now I'm seeing ground on both small posts. I also replaced all three batteries just to eliminate that possibility. I'm really puzzled how this went from working perfectly to completely dead in just 20 seconds. Any ideas what I should check next? …more

Fix Allegro Breeze Air Leveling System Module Problems

According to my troubleshooting notes, ever since I started diagnosing my 2013 Allegro Breeze 32BR's air ride system, I'm completely stuck on what's actually broken. Last month during a trip, one of the dump valves got stuck open and I lost all rear air suspension. HWH tech support told me to disconnect the control module and finish driving to my destination, which worked fine. When I got there, I plugged the module back in so I could level the coach properly. Everything seemed okay until we packed up to head home - now I can't get proper travel mode! The driver's side rear bag just won't inflate through the normal system, though if I manually open the inflate valve it fills right up. Is this still the same module problem HWH mentioned, or am I looking at multiple failures here? I'm trying to figure out if I need just the module or if there's something else going wrong too. …more
