According to the moisture buildup around my residential fridge door seals after just two weeks of storage, I'm clearly doing something wrong.

With my old propane fridge, I religiously propped that door open during storage like every RV manual commanded. But now that I've got this "house fridge" - do I treat it like a regular home refrigerator and keep it closed, or do I stick with my old RV habits and prop it open? Looked like a simple breather hose replacement on my Generac RV generator, but ever since I finished the job, oil has been leaking everywhere. I replaced the cracked original-style breather hose with a new version that now includes an elbow and short extension inside the air filter housing. While the hose replacement definitely helped reduce the oil drip, I'm still seeing some persistent leakage underneath the unit.

The new hose design appears to be an upgrade from Generac, with the uphill extension meant to help oil sucked from the crankcase run back down into the engine. I'm hoping this will further minimize the drip issue. I want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious before I take it to a repair shop. Somewhere between my wife's third comment about oil stains under our RV and my denial phase, I realized I need to drop the oil pan on my Ford V10 2-valve engine. I remember when I did the 4R100 transmission pan, that rubber gasket was totally reusable - just cleaned it up and slapped it back on.

Is the engine oil pan gasket the same deal? Can I get away with reusing it or am I gonna need to pick up a new one? And if I do need a replacement, any recommendations on brands or installation tips? Don't want to create a mess under there! …more

Pulled my 2021 RV with F53 chassis out of winter storage and like clockwork, I'm facing the same oil-change nightmare that leaves me swimming in spilled mess. That fill tube is positioned in the most awkward spot possible - feels like Ford designed it just to mess with us DIYers!

Spent way too much time getting quotes and now I'm staring at $2,800 worth of repairs for my 1996 Newmar Mountain Aire on Ford F530 chassis. Recently, the RV was stored outside and squirrels caused wiring damage, which I've had repaired. Now I'm dealing with a problem where the lights stay on when the transmission goes into reverse. I've already checked the relays and fuses, and been told it might be a faulty reverse sensor, but I can't locate it or find a manual. Pulled into camp yesterday and spotted fresh oil weeping around my Dana Super 70 pinion seal - now I'm wondering if this needs immediate attention. Not full-on crying tears of gear oil onto my driveway (thankfully), but definitely looking a bit moist around the edges. Been like this for years now - my RV's apparently got commitment issues with keeping things bone dry.
