Somewhere between last week's torrential downpour and this morning, my 2014 Bounder Classic 36H with the 2013 Ford F53 V10 chassis developed what appears to be a cam sensor failure preventing startup. The engine cranks over strong but absolutely will not start. I've been chasing this for weeks and I'm really hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Here's what I know: Forscan is showing cam sensor faults while cranking, even after I replaced the cam sensor. I've got fuel pressure, the crank sensor is new, and there are no stored codes. The tachometer moves during cranking attempts, so I know I'm getting some signal. After crank attempts, there's a strong fuel smell. I've disconnected the battery ground for over 5 minutes to reset any hanging codes.

I'm starting to suspect this might be a wiring harness issue or possibly something with the timing chain. I have a tone generator on the way to check for potential wire breaks. The frustrating part is that everything seems like it should work, but it's like the PCM isn't getting the right timing information.

Woke up to my electric awning stuck 2 feet short of fully retracting, now I'm standing in the RV parts store staring at motors and alignment tools with zero clue which one I need. During the retraction process, I've observed the fabric bunching up significantly on one side while the opposite side appears to retract normally.

The motor continues to run when this occurs, suggesting it's not a power issue. I suspect this may be related to fabric tension irregularities or potential misalignment in the awning arm mechanism, but I need to confirm the root cause and understand the proper correction procedure.

Between the $800 repair quote and my Schwintek slide that only goes one direction, I'm seriously considering tackling this fix myself. Got a Schwintek slide that's being a total pain - it only moves in one direction no matter what I do.

Here's the kicker: I've already swapped out both motors, got a brand new controller, even ran fresh wiring. Still doing the same thing! When I reverse the RET and EXT wires at the controller, it'll go the other direction but then won't come back. Consistently got error #8 when I tried the override.

I ran a jumper to motor #2, tried motor #1, checked fuses, replaced the RET wire connector, and still nothing. I disengaged both motors, manually pushed the slide in and measured both sides to confirm it was even. The motors work, the slide moves fine mechanically, but something's not letting it reverse properly.

I'm thinking it's gotta be something with the wiring or maybe the control module isn't actually switching polarity like it should? Anyone dealt with this before? What causes a slide to only go one way when all the hardware seems good? …more

Pulled into a weigh station yesterday and discovered my Class A diesel motorhome needs a CARB Clean Truck Check account that I completely missed setting up. I can create the account and get through email verification, but then the account shows as invalid and won't let me add my RV or pay the required $30 fee.

I've watched all their instructional videos and followed the steps, but the system keeps rejecting my account. Phone support just directs me to send an email, and I've sent several without response.

Is this a known system glitch? Are other RV owners running into this same problem with accounts becoming invalid right after verification? Need to get this sorted before the 12/31/2023 deadline when registration will be blocked.

Already got quoted $800 to fix my Vroom slide that's going out of sync after 3-7 cycles since upgrading from Schwintek rails last year and wondering if I can tackle this myself.
