Onan 4000 Generator Won't Start Without Choke: Code 14 Troubleshooting Guide

Halfway through another camping trip and trying to decide between babying my Onan 4000 with manual choke every startup or finally fixing this Code 14 nightmare. Let me try again:

Just found out that my 2013 Thor Class C's Onan 4000 generator won't cooperate after sitting since March, and I'm dealing with a nightmare. Been getting Code 14 errors and spent half the morning just trying to get it fired up.

The only way I can get it started is by manually messing with what I think is the choke linkage - otherwise it just won't go. Once I shut it off, same story - won't restart unless I physically manipulate that linkage again. Only has 240 hours on it and was serviced about 2 years ago.

RV Engine Stalling & Transmission Issues - Diagnosis Help

Replaced multiple parts but I'm still standing in the auto parts store aisle staring at diagnostic tools with no clue which one I actually need for my RV's stalling and transmission issues. When I'm cruising and let off the gas, sometimes the RPMs drop like a rock, other times they just hang there until I slow down more. That's weird enough, but here's the real kicker - every now and then the whole engine just dies on me when I'm rolling up to a stop sign or red light. HWH Spacemaker Slide Motor Runs But Won't Extend: Complete RV Repair Guide

Every time we get heavy rain like those three days last week, my HWH Spacemaker hydraulic slide system motor runs but won't extend the slide out. The motor runs when I hit the extend button, but the slide absolutely will not move out. Everything else works perfectly - rear slide operates fine, leveling system works great, no blown fuses anywhere.

I've tested the extend solenoid and it's getting power, did an ohm test which showed 1.2 and open (which appears acceptable per the manual). I've already checked the converter box and solenoids and they look good. The safety locks are fully retracted so that shouldn't be the issue. I can hear the motor operating but there's zero movement on the slide itself.

Should I Sell My Atwood Level Legs Parts or Trade to BigFoot?

During our budget planning for the BigFoot upgrade, my wife casually asked why we're dropping $8k when our Atwood level legs could probably fetch decent trade-in value. My '06 Pace Arrow 38L has Atwood Level Legs that keep failing despite previous repairs, so I'm planning to upgrade to BigFoot Levelers for about $8k.

The BigFoot installer said he'd take my old Atwood system but wouldn't give me any credit - he'd just fix them up and sell the parts himself.
