I'll be doing extensive western touring through mountain and plains regions, which means substantial mountain grades and wind challenges. I'm comfortable driving slowly and want to understand two key things: 1) Will this E-350 chassis handle mountain grades without major issues, and 2) What's the real-world fuel consumption like? Halfway through backing out of my campsite this morning I spotted my dashboard cluttered with three separate screens for GPS, dashcam, and backup camera.

I've been looking around but I'm not sure if fully integrated systems like this actually exist, or if I should be thinking about this differently. Finally decided to stop watching YouTube comparisons between Tiffin Allegro Bus and Newmar coaches since every reviewer contradicts each other and I'm more confused than ever. I've been researching for months and keep going in circles. Currently own a 2019 Tiffin Allegro Bus 40ip and absolutely love it, but we're looking to upgrade to a 45-footer and suddenly questioning everything.

Everyone says both Tiffin and Newmar are top-tier quality, but I need to understand the real differences. What makes each brand stand out? Is Tiffin's customer service really that much better, or is it just hype? Are Newmar's interiors actually more luxurious, or is that just marketing?

I found three different "experts" telling me three different causes for my 2006 Damon Challenger's parasitic battery drain - neighbor blames the converter, dealer says bad fuse, YouTube points to inverter. I've traced it to the instrument cluster fuse, and Thor doesn't have schematics for this model due to its age.

I'm not even sure if it's actually the instrument cluster itself or something connected to it - could it be the transmission temp sensor, engine temp sensor, or other wiring? I really don't want to damage anything expensive or create a safety hazard. What's the safest way to diagnose and fix this without causing more problems? During last month's road trips my Ford RV speedometer would occasionally stick at 39 MPH, but now it's completely frozen there regardless of actual speed. My 2003 Hurricane's speedometer seems to be stuck - it won't read above 39 mph no matter how fast I'm actually going. I've been relying on my GPS to know my real speed, which is working fine.

The weird thing is that my cruise control still functions normally and the odometer keeps tracking miles correctly. I'm just not sure what could cause the speedometer to max out like this while everything else works. Is this something that happens often with these Ford-based motorhomes? Called three different YouTube tutorials claiming to boost my 2000 Ford E450 V10's uphill towing power, but now my motorhome struggles even worse in the mountains. The unit struggles substantially on extended uphill grades, particularly during Rocky Mountain travel where sustained climbs can last 30+ minutes.

I'm evaluating several modification options to address this performance deficiency: rear differential gear ratio changes, SCT programming modules, K&N high-flow air filtration systems, and catalytic converter removal. I need to understand which modifications will provide measurable uphill towing improvements versus those that offer minimal gains.

Tried replacing the speedometer head, checking all connections, and even getting the ECM scanned — but my 2013 Tiffin Allegro's odometer is still showing completely wrong mileage. My 2013 Tiffin Allegro's odometer has started displaying completely wrong readings. It should show around 96,000 miles, but it's jumping to 181,000, then 302,000, and even over a million miles when I try resetting it. The speedometer works fine though.

A repair shop quoted me $900 for parts plus $300 labor to replace the whole speedometer/display unit. That seems really expensive for my budget. I'm wondering if this is something I need to fix right away or if I can live with it? My main concern is what happens if I want to sell the RV later - will the wrong odometer reading be a major problem for resale? …more
