Nobody warned me how tricky RV fresh water tank leaks could be — got my tools ready and determined to fix this dripping mess under my trailer myself. The dripping was pretty steady at first but seems to have slowed down overnight to just occasional drops. My tank gauge still shows full, so I don't think it's completely emptying out.

I can see there's an underbelly cover that would need to come down to access everything underneath, but I'm hoping maybe there are some easier spots I should check first? I'd rather not tackle removing panels if I don't have to - any guidance on where these leaks typically start would be really helpful, especially near the drain valve! …more

Woke up to my neighbor insisting I ditch the macerator on my 2013 Thor Ace 29.2, my dealer pushing me to keep it, and YouTube saying something completely different. How exactly does this work? Like, do I need to do something to switch between them on the passenger and driver sides, or can I just use whichever one I want whenever?

I'm assuming there's gotta be some kind of valve system to control which outlet gets the flow? Just want to make sure I don't mess something up by having both open at the same time or whatever. …more

I turned off my RV's cooling system and grabbed my wrench — ready to install a ball valve on my 2008 Fleetwood Terra's heater line but need safety confirmation first. I've been battling what I suspect is a faulty electric heater valve that may not be closing completely when I switch to A/C mode.

The electric valve is expensive to replace and located in an incredibly awkward spot that's driving me crazy to access. I've tried everything - heat detectors, feeling around the lines, you name it - but I still can't definitively tell if it's actually sealing off hot coolant flow when the A/C is running.

Here's my question: Can I safely install a simple manual ball valve in the heater line before the existing electric valve? I'm hoping this would let me manually shut off coolant flow to the heater core when using A/C, essentially doing the job the electric valve should be doing. Will this cause any problems with the cooling system or damage anything? I just need to know if this is a safe solution before I start cutting into lines. …more

I turned the black tank valve handle on my 2023 Montana 3793RD and it's just spinning freely without actually opening the valve mechanism. Need to locate the actual gate valve to check the connection. Where exactly is this valve positioned on this model? Do I need to access it through the underbelly panels? …more
