Wondering if I should drop $800 on new electric leveling jacks or if this annoying clicking issue can actually be fixed first? The jacks were working perfectly fine on our last camping trip about two weeks ago, but now when I try to extend them, I can hear a distinct clicking sound coming from the controller panel, yet none of the jacks actually move or extend. The clicking happens consistently when I press the extend button, so it seems like the system is trying to respond, but something is preventing the actual mechanical operation.

I'm wondering what the most common causes are for this specific symptom - where you get the clicking from the controller but no actual jack movement. Somewhere my neighbor's Class A maintains perfect air pressure in both tanks while my front tank keeps bleeding down overnight — what am I missing? My front air tank keeps losing pressure, but only when the coach is up on the air bags. When I jack up the rear and take weight off the bags, no pressure loss at all. Same thing when I dump the bags completely - holds pressure fine. The rear tank seems totally unaffected.

What's really puzzling me is after I shut down, I can hear this weird gurgling or burping sound coming from the front secondary tank until the system loses pressure. But here's the strange part - even though it's the front tank losing pressure, the rear of the coach sags way faster than the front after shutdown. I've meticulously sprayed soapy water at least 3 times on every fitting, valve, and connection I can reach around both the front tanks and rear bags, but I can't spot any visible leaks anywhere. Could really use some guidance on what I might be missing here.

During our budget planning for the BigFoot upgrade, my wife casually asked why we're dropping $8k when our Atwood level legs could probably fetch decent trade-in value. My '06 Pace Arrow 38L has Atwood Level Legs that keep failing despite previous repairs, so I'm planning to upgrade to BigFoot Levelers for about $8k.

The BigFoot installer said he'd take my old Atwood system but wouldn't give me any credit - he'd just fix them up and sell the parts himself. He offered to give them back to me instead, but actually discouraged me from trying to sell them myself. This has me worried - is he trying to lowball me, or is selling RV leveling parts really that difficult and risky?

I'm concerned I might make a costly mistake either way. Are Atwood parts actually valuable enough that I should keep them and deal with selling myself, even though I don't know much about these systems? Or should I just let BigFoot take them to avoid the hassle and potential headaches? …more
