Spent the weekend camping only to have that piercing beep from my Girard GG1000 awning motion sensor going off constantly in the wind. I have a 2025 Tiffin Wayfarer with a Girard GG1000 awning and I'm trying to install support poles and a sunshade, but this darn motion sensor keeps retracting the awning every time I get near it or try to attach anything.

I've looked through the manual twice and can't find any clear instructions on how to temporarily disable the motion sensor. I know there has to be a way to turn it off so I can actually use my awning accessories without it constantly thinking something's wrong and pulling itself back in.

Does anyone know the exact steps to disable the motion sensor on the GG1000? I just need it off long enough to get my support poles and sunshade attached, then I'd like to turn it back on for normal operation. …more

Between leaving my campsite last night and starting up this morning, my Ford E-450 Class C developed this awful front-end squeaking that definitely wasn't there before. My 2004 E-450 Class C with 54k miles has developed a squeak coming from the front end, and I'm not sure how to figure out what's causing it.

The squeak seems to happen at different times - sometimes when I'm braking, other times when going over bumps or rough roads. I've heard it could be anything from brake issues to suspension problems, but I honestly don't know how to tell the difference or what to check first.

Three months into owning my first RV and I'm completely lost on why these black aluminum window frames are hitting 129°F in just 90° weather. I'm pretty sure I could get a nice sear on a steak if I tried.

I'm looking for the most effective ways to tame these heat magnets before they turn my RV into a mobile sauna. I've heard about exterior reflective covers, interior solutions with Reflectix, and I'm wondering what actually works best. Should I be blocking the sun before it hits the frames, or can interior covers do the trick? And how the heck do you attach exterior covers without them flying off down the highway like aluminum kites?

Between now and our cross-country departure next week, my 2006 Allegro Bus motorhome with the Ford V10 engine started having intermittent starting and stalling issues. After doing some research and talking to other RV owners, I've narrowed down the potential culprit to what appears to be a failing Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM). Woke up to tackle the same fan clutch replacement I nailed on my old Workhorse chassis — but this 2013 F53's bolt pattern mismatch has me completely stumped. Got Ford part YB-3082 but the bolt holes are smaller than my existing fan bolts. Checked several other fan clutches and they all have the same smaller hole pattern.

Is this bolt pattern mismatch normal with Ford replacement parts? What's the best way to solve this - different supplier, matched set, or modify the holes? …more
