Leveling Tips

Order of Operations

  1. Level side-to-side first using blocks
  2. Then level front-to-back using tongue jack (travel trailer) or leveling jacks (motorhome)
  3. Deploy stabilizer jacks last (they're not for leveling)

Why Level Matters

  • Fridge efficiency - absorption fridges need to be level
  • Drain flow - water won't drain properly if off-level
  • Door operation - doors swing open/shut on their own
  • Sleep comfort - nobody likes rolling in bed

Block Stacking

Most leveling blocks interlock. Drive up slowly and chock wheels when done. Never stack more than the manufacturer recommends.
