Pulled into my driveway after my local RV dealer closed down last year, and now finding OEM parts for my 2001 Fleetwood Flair 33R has become a complete nightmare. Ford has discontinued so many of the OEM components I need, and the usual RV parts suppliers keep coming up empty. I've been searching for months now and I'm starting to worry I'll never get this thing roadworthy again.

I know there have to be salvage yards out there with Fleetwood parts, but I don't know where to look or how to search effectively. Are there online platforms specifically for RV salvage? RV cranks for 10-15 seconds before finally firing up, and it's getting worse each week. Used to start on the first crank every time. Fuel pressure seems low at the rail but I'm not sure if it's the pump, filter, injectors, or something else entirely in the fuel system. …more

Walked out to my Ford V10 this morning with my toolbox in hand, ready to fix this blown spark plug myself — just need to know whether Time-Sert or Heli-Coil is the way to go. My 2000 Ford Flair 31A with the 6.8L V10 just blew a spark plug going uphill - sounded like the exhaust fell off until I realized what happened. The shop is telling me this is apparently a "common issue" with these 2-valve V10 engines, which is just fantastic news after being stranded on vacation.

They're giving me options for thread repair - either a Heli-Coil insert or something called a Time-Sert.
