Apparently I'm tackling my Samsung RF18 residential refrigerator install in my Bounder 35E this Saturday — what measurements and prep work do I need ready for the door opening? I've measured the door opening and it's just barely larger than 24.5 inches at the narrowest point, and Samsung lists the RF18 at exactly 24.5" wide with doors removed.

I'm worried I might get the refrigerator delivered and then find out it won't actually fit, or worse - damage something trying to force it through. Has anyone successfully done this installation? I know some people remove windows for residential fridge installations, but I really don't want to go that route if I can avoid it. Replaced my old Dometic RV fridge but now I'm second-guessing whether I should have gone with a residential unit instead of another 12 cu. ft. residential unit - looking at Frigidaire or Whirlpool models. But I keep seeing terrible reviews for small residential fridges in RVs.

What causes these issues with residential fridges in RV applications? Are there better alternatives that give me residential-style features without the problems? Need to know about power requirements and installation considerations too. …more

According to Murphy's Law, our RV's refrigerator door latch completely gave out just days before our big family reunion trip this weekend! The plastic latch on my residential Whirlpool refrigerator door has given up the ghost, and now I'm living in constant fear of opening the door to find my condiments have taken a scenic tour of the RV floor.

I know this has to be a rite of passage for pretty much every RV owner out there. What are the best aftermarket options to replace these flimsy factory latches? I've seen magnetic catches mentioned, and Camco seems to make everything RV-related, but I'd love to hear what actually works long-term. According to my bank account, this 2007 Dyna Max IE250 air ride electrical manual hunt is eating through my repair budget faster than I can earn it. I've been dealing with some electrical issues and really need the wiring diagrams and troubleshooting procedures, but I can't seem to find this documentation anywhere online.

I've already tried the usual RV manual sites and even contacted a few local dealers, but nobody seems to have specific electrical documentation for the Dyna Air Ride system that was installed on these units. This is supposedly a premium suspension system, so you'd think the manuals would be easier to track down!

Does anyone know where I can actually get my hands on the electrical manual for this air ride system? I'm willing to pay for it at this point - I just need to get this thing working properly again. …more
